Small Set Departures
The Southern Africa and Beyond Private Jet Expedition caters for up to 6 guests using the most exclusive transportation throughout the journey. A Pilatus PC12 will be used for the international legs of the expedition and can host up to 6 guests. A combination of the Pilatus PC12 and helicopters will be used internally to connect with bush landing strips. The Southern Africa and Beyond Private Jet Expedition departs on 15 May 2017, which has been specifically chosen to offer the best possible experiences within the highlighted destinations.

Grant Telfer
For Grant, one very distinct early childhood memory stands out. As a young boy on a family canoeing expedition, he sat quietly one winter morning on a sandbank overlooking the Zambezi Valley. As the sun rose, he watched hippo returning to the Zambezi River from their nightly forage. He remembers being completely awestruck and knew from then on that he would pursue an adventurous life in the bush. This endless quest for adventure has taken Grant to the summit of Mt Kilimanjaro, the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest in Uganda in search of mountain gorillas, and of course, to the rare sand forest of &Beyond Phinda Private Game Reserve where he was a guide and mentor for six years. He then took on the role of Regional Ranger Trainer for East Africa and is now based in the Serengeti/Mara, heading up &Beyond’s Mwewe Ranger Training School. Grant has extensive experience guiding guests on private safaris and believes the best way to experience the bush is on foot. He is a qualified trails guide and Grade 2 walker.
